School Council and Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

School Council Elections

Our School council elections took place this week.  We were proud of how well each child spoke in front of an audience about what we would bring to the role.

A Welcome from our School Council

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

Our anti-Bullying ambassadors wrote letters to explain why they would be good in this role and we were proud of their responses and their strength of feeling about ensuring children in our school feel happy and safe.

Odd Socks Day

Today we started Anti-bullying week with an odd sock day.  Lots of our pupils and staff wore odd socks to raise awareness of bullying and how we can combat it.

Children in Need

Our School Council worked hard to promote our Children in Need activities this year and this event raised         for the fantastic causes supported.

School Council Christmas Project

The School Council organised a collection of goods to support local young people living in supported lodgings.  The items collected were taken to Dorchester Youth Centre to be distributed in the young people's Christmas boxes.

Improving our School Environment

Our School Councillors have been thinking about how they can improve our school environment.  They are concerned about the level of rubbish collecting outside and are keen to form a team to collect this regularly so that the outside areas look better.  Two School Council members wrote to the PTA asking them to buy some more litter pickers so they can get started on this project this term.
