Swimming

The Robins loved their first swimming lesson of the year this week. They played games, laughed and sang during their time in the pool. Now that the weather has improved, all children in the school will have swimming lessons in the pool during the Summer term.

Forest School

We had a fabulous walk during our Forest School session at Winfrith Heath. We enjoyed the warm sunshine on our faces as we broke the ice in the muddy puddles. Last week, we leant how to identify animal tracks (including deer, fox, badger, dog, horse) and we eagerly looked for and found the tracks of deer, horses and dogs today. When we got to the top of the hill we met Amy, a Warden, who works for Urban Heath Partnership. She kindly talked to us about the Heathland: how it is a home for all 6 species of lizards and snakes; the Bell Barrow we were standing beside and we discussed our favourite species of spiders! We enjoyed running down the hill and smashing the last of the ice in the puddles on our way back to the minibus.
